FortisBC Public Information Sessions

 

FortisBC is holding public information sessions on plans to replace the natural gas pipeline crossing the Muskwa River.   

Municipal Hall - Bear Pit

Monday Oct. 28th 

5:00 pm to 6 pm

 

Woodlands Inn - Aspen Room

Tuesday Oct. 29th

8:00 am to 10:00 am

 

FortisBC also has an application in to the BC Utilities Commission requesting Fort Nelson gas rates remain the same for 2014 and the surplus from 2013 be moved to a deferral account.

Fort Nelson & District Chamber of Commerce presents to Standing Finance Committee

 

The Chamber provided the Standing Finance Committee with a written presentation and presented to them directly in their 2014 budget consultations.  

Our recommendations include implementing a Carbon Tax Grant Program for Northern & Rural Communities, a Northern Provincial Travel Benefit, Improved Access to Health Services and Priority Air Ambulance Services and continued work on Improving Resource Permitting.
