MMBC - Ministry of Environment Recycling Legislation

 

MMBC has agreed to a policy consultation process with the BC Chamber and other business organizations and in the interim no business is required to sign any letters of intent to participate.  Businesses that have already signed letters may still be contacted by MMBC and we recommend that you inform MMBC that you have no intent to sign any further contracts or provide any information until the consultation process has been completed. Service Canada - SIN Applications & Seniors Information Sessions.  

 

Service Canada is coming to Fort Nelson to put on two information sessions:

 

Seniors Info Session will be held Sept 25 at 1:30 at the Lamplighters. Topics: 

  • Old Age Security
  • Guaranteed Income Supplement
  • Canada Pension Plan

SIN (Social Insurance Number) Session will be held Sept 24 from 9 am to 4 pm at the Service BC office. 

 

This is for any person that requires a social insurance number. First time, extension of work permit, and legal name changes.

Cooperative Capital Markets Regulatory System Announcement.
 
The Ministers of Finance of British Columbia, Ontario and Canada agreed today to establish a cooperative capital markets regulatory system and invite all provinces and territories to participate in the proposed system.
