Elimination of the Canadian Penny Effective Today - February 4, 2013
The Canadian Governments elimination of the Canadian penny is effective Feb 4, 2013.
Only cash transactions are affected.
All transactions will continue to be calculated to the penny however pennies should not be given as change and cash transactions should be rounded as described in the following link.
Rounding Instructions for Cash Transactions.
Non Cash payments such as credit, debit and cheque transactions will continue to be settled to the penny
