Enter the 2013 Home Baking Association Educator Award Contest and be eligible to win $1,000! The top entry will also receive an all-expenses paid trip for two to the 2013 Home Baking Association Annual Meeting. All entrants will receive a complimentary HBA teaching resource.

National Festival of Breads is America's only amateur bread baking contest. Home Baking Association members sponsoring this year's event include: King Arthur Flour, Fleischmann's Yeast, and the Kansas Wheat Commission.

The Home Baking Association is planning a 30-minute "Baking Substitution Science" webinar for early 2013.
The webinar will provide information for baking substitutions including Greek yogurt, whole grains, agave nectar, stevia/sugar blend and sodium reduction. Please complete this brief survey to assist us in planning.

Whole Grain:
Whole grain Using whole kernel or ground whole kernels of a grain (barley, corn, oats, wheat, soy, rye) in a food at 51% or more of the flour weight. There must be more flour than sugar and fat for the food to be a"grain food" product. 16 grams of whole grain flour or meal per serving is 1/3 of the daily need for whole grain in a diet.
