Did You Know...?

1. Thailand was known as "Siam" until 1949. Both Siamese Cats and Siamese Twins originate from the former nation.

2. The full name for "Bangkok", in Thai, is as follows:
Krung Thep Mahanakhon Amon Rattanakosin Mahinthara Ayuthaya Mahadilok Phop Noppharat Ratchathani Burirom Udomratchaniwet Mahasathan Amon Piman Awatan Sathit Sakkathattiya Witsanukam Prasit

3. Thailand means "Land of the Free". It is the only country in Southeast Asia that was never colonized by a European nation.
