It's the first of the month and time to release our newest ESP RAW DVD (volume 152).
Complete details of what's in this volume in the next block.
First more improvements in the RAW Program...
We will be moving to an Earn Your Rounds format with RAW 152.
What's that? Well, read on...
-
Now that we've laid the conditioning foundation with alternating Conditioning/Combat Training Days on RAWs 150 & 152 we will now...
-
Have 22-Full Days of Conditioning instead of the 12-Day Alternating Cycle. [You set your own days of the week, we use a 3-on/1-day off cycle here.]
-
We will open RAW 152 with the Re-Test of our Benchmark Test that opened RAW 150.
-
Day 2 of RAW 152 will offer a new Benchmark Test that opens this 2-Month Cycle.
-
All 22-Days of Conditioning will be listed in order of consumption-by that I mean if you are following the program, don't skip around. Don't say, "I like Day 4 and Day 9 I'll put these back-to-back", I'm not your dad, I'm not your Boss but the prescribed order has had some thought put into it.
-
The Earn Your Rounds protocol asks you to time your Conditioning Session and to use that to dictate your Minimum Combat Rounds for that Day.
-
For example-If my conditioning session lasted 12: 43, I've "earned" six rounds of mandatory combat training. [You can always do more rounds, but optimally you will never accept less.]
-
The Earn Your Rounds Breakdown is as follows:
-
A Sub 5 minute (5m) Performance in that day's conditioning challenge earns you 9 Rounds of Combat.
-
5m to 10m = 8 Rounds
-
10-15 = 7
-
15-20 = 6
-
20-25 = 5
-
25-30 = 4
-
30-35 = 3
-
35-40 = 2
-
40-45 = 1
-
Anything over 45m is a Day Off from combat as performance, or task dictates you should be wiped.
-
Each RAW will still include all 3 Major areas of the Combination Man/Woman Program: Boxing, Shooting/Clinching, and Matwork.
-
These Combat Drill Templates will now be listed separately as opposed to interspersed in the Syllabi as we have no way of knowing how much Combat you've "earned."
-
You can use the "Earned" format for RAW Forum conversations, for example: "Just completed Day 18, earned 6 Rounds" letting the crew know that you burned that workout challenge in 15 to 20 minutes and still had gas in the tank for a least 6 hard-rounds of fight.
-
As with the Conditioning Challenges, I advise do not skip around in the Combat Templates, follow the Order of Protocol as, believe it or not, a good deal of thought has gone into its construction. [Again, I'm not your dad, suit yourself in all things.]
-
In the future, as we all get on the same page with immediate syllabi access and synchronized training days, we will offer additional training material to those who are using the Earn Your Rounds format competitively in the forum. That is, compete with one another and we'll unlock more drills for the players. That's right, bondafide rewards for hard-chargers.
If I've made this as clear as mud, say the word. We're working hard here to get this Program as comprehensive and optimized for fun and community as we can.
Onward & Upward!
BTW-If you're not member of the RAW Crew but want to be, or at lest wanna have a look at some of the premiums the Service provides-hit the Click Here prompt in the left side bar for more info-no worries, it's not a Buy Now button, just a look at all the benefits.
Sincerely,
Mark Hatmaker

ESP RAW 152
Integrated Curriculum Vol. 3 Expanding the Base
The third of the improved format includes:
- 22-GPP Conditioning Challenges.
- Demos of standards for the 15 new exercises.
- 16-Rounds of Boxing Drilling getting us deeper into true counter-punching work.
- 20-Rounds of Clinch Work including...
- 5 ways to set an Underhook Control both Inside the Clinch and Out.
- 2 ways to transition to Head-Control off of an Outside 2-on-1.
- These Head-Control transitions lead directly into submission chains which we'll jump right into.
- This volume also includes 20 Rounds of Matwork Drills-these continue our Short Offense Aggression Game with 4-Finishes to SO Double-Legs and what to do if you get "stuffed."
- We'll then start hitting 1/4 Position Out of the Fire Drills to get you back in Top Position.
- We'll hit 6-Saves in 12-Rounds of Drilling.
We really think you'll get a big bang for your buck out of the new format. 22-GPP training days, and a total of 56 Combat Rounds.
This volume (as with all volumes of RAW) comes with a printed syllabus for inclusion in your training notebook.
ESP RAW 152 can be had this month for $32 (S & H included--Domestic & International) at the end of the month the price goes to $42 Domestic/$52 International. [Of course, it's only $26.50 for the RAW Crew.]

Pick An Adventure
Seminars
|
Some of us are old-enough to remember a series of interactive books where readers were asked to make a decision and then go to a corresponding page to see what sort of mess you got yourself into. You never quite knew where you were going to wind up with these books--pre-video game era, these were a novel idea.
Here's where you come in, if you'd like to host a seminar and save yourself some bucks off of the standard fees in the process--if you've got an Adventure Race in your area, a rock you think I'd like to climb, a river you think I want to raft, a hike you think I just need to take, a desert I've not run on, you get the idea--pitch your adventure and school location. If the adventure appeals and the logistics are right we offer greatly reduced fees to come to your school and play with your crew before we go play at your Adventure Pitch.
BTW--You and your crew are welcome to attend the adventure, as a matter of fact, we'll knock off even more bucks for this sort of hands-on guiding.
So, you got some adrenaline in your neck-of-the-woods and want to train? Feel free to make your pitch and we'll see what happens.
