People elected and appointed to county office are perceived by the public as being leaders, capable of making decisions in the best interest of the people they serve. Leadership is more than just answering to the public, though. It's about listening and working with people to bring about change that ultimately leads to a better condition, place or situation.

Paticipation in the 2015 NACO COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION WORKSHOP assists everyone in taking that step of moving forward for the benefit of the citizens we serve.
The NACO 2105 COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION WORKSHOP is designed to provide an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the following county offices in the Equalization process:
  • Commissioners & Supervisors
  • County Clerks
  • County Assessors and
  • County Attorneys

Participants will also hear from the Nebraska Property Tax Administrator, Ruth Sorensen.

The final session of the day will also give participants the opportunity to hear from two members of the Tax Equalization and Review Commission.
