Laughter also triggers healthy physical changes in the body. Humor and laughter strengthen your immune system, boost your energy, diminish pain and protect you from the damaging effects of stress. 12 Unexpected Reasons to Drink More Water this New Year
Drink WaterAccording to the International Bottled Water Association, water is the second most popular beverage in the U.S. after soft drinks. This is a scary stat, since sugary soda is a huge health hazard, upping the risk of obesity, stroke and other heart problems. However, these dangers can be avoided if people choose to drink water.  The benefits are endless for those who put the sugary drinks aside and pour up some water instead.

January is National
 Blood Donor Month
Natl. Blood Donor Month The American Red Cross (ARC) has declared the month of January National Blood Donor Month in order to promote hospitals' need to have extra blood on hand for administering life-saving emergency medicine, and to show appreciation to those who are already blood donors.

"National Blood Donor Month is a great opportunity for us to thank donors who help us maintain an adequate blood supply," said Mardio Sedlock, interim chief executive officer for the ARC's Southern Blood Services Region. "We also want to encourage those who have never donated before to consider giving an hour of their time to help save lives."
