Strong Kids, Strong Virginia will present information during our Wednesday, October 23 FCCPTA General Membership Meeting. Created to focus attention on the needs of children and families in Virginia during the 2013 election season, Strong Kids, Strong Virginia will educate candidates, office holders, the media, and the public about issues such as child poverty, early education and care, health, and safety by distributing information, coordinating events, holding public and candidate forums, and training groups in civic engagement.  

Local unit PTA Presidents and/or their designated representatives are voting members of FCCPTA. As such, they should plan to attend FCCPTA General Membership Meetings. We will present our 2013-2014 FCCPTA budget for vote.

FCCPTA encourages Fairfax students to participate in the National PTA Reflections Program. This year's theme is "Believe, Dream, Inspire". We hope all PTAs participate in the program. For additional information, to include program details and required forms CLICK HERE.

Each PTA participating in the Reflections Program should submit only their top entry in each of the six art categories and age divisions. The FCCPTA has identified the following dates and times as the turn-in dates. The turn-in location is Gatehouse Administration Center,8115 Gatehouse Road, Falls Church, VA 22042.

All student works and forms must be received by the FCCPTA on Thursday, November 7, 11 AM to 8 PM or Friday, November 8, 11 AM to 2 PM in Room 3050 on the 3rd floor.

Please do not put student works into the FCPS Pony system or leave at the reception office. FCCPTA does not guarantee works not personally delivered to the 3rd floor location make it into the judging process.

When arriving at Gatehouse, please use the underground parking garage located in the back of the building and take the elevator up to the 3rd floor. Entry via the front door is not encouraged as their is no parking. The front doors are locked promptly at 4:30 PM. The garage doors are closed at 8 PM, please plan to be a Gatehouse prior to 8 PM. 7:30 PM is preferred!
