Attend 2013 Virginia PTA Annual Conference

Get on Board!  July 11-13, 2013 at the Virginia PTA Annual Conference in Richmond where more than 600 attendees representing PTA's across the Commonwealth will attend to direct the business of the association, and learn about PTA, leadership roles/responsibilities, and current issues through a wide variety of high-quality workshops with valuable information, ideas and resources.  The conference is also perfect to network through District events, connect with potential business partners via the Exhibit Hall, and re-energize as volunteer advocates for all children.

Join our FCCPTA Best Practices Facebook Group.  Post what's on your mind concerning our local PTAs. This group is a place to ask questions, to brainstorm and certain to brag about what you are proud of that your PTA has done. We don't need to keep creating the wheel! Let's share our ideas with each other.
School of Excellence
National PTA School of Excellence Program

Mary Pat King, National PTA Director of Programs & Partnerships, conducted an informational presentation about the PTA School of Excellence Program during the recent FCCPTA Leadership Workshops.

Whether you are looking to step-up your PTA's involvement in school improvements or something meaningful is happening between your PTA and school that deserves recognition, you will soon have a new opportunity to make a substantial, positive impact on school and student success.

The National PTA School of Excellence program helps PTAs strengthen the family-school partnership and make measurable progress together in one of three areas:

  • Education
  • Health and safety
  • Arts and cultural exploration

At a National PTA School of Excellence, families feel welcomed and empowered to support student success, and PTA is a key partner for continuous school improvement.

In the 2013-2014 school year, put your school on the National PTA School of Excellence map!

Enroll before September 1, 2013!
