Exploring Our Religious Landscapes
at The Gurdwara Sahib Ji Mata Tripta

The Gurdwara Sahib Ji Mata Tripta will welcome participants in the Exploring Our Religious Landscapes to a fascinating exploration of Sikhism on Wednesday, April 27, 6 -9 pm...

This Sunday!
Interfaith World Sabbath

On Sunday, March 6, our interfaith community will gather to celebrate our most dearly held values and our connections with one another. At this year's World Sabbath for Religious Reconciliation we will recognize our 2016 World Sabbath Peacemaker Awardee, Rev. Faith Fowler, author and Executive Director of Cass Community Social Services, for her work in caring for the homeless. And we will take time to remember its founder, Rev. Rodney Reinhardt, who passed away in December.

Interfaith Drumming and Luncheon Photos

This past Saturday, the Mata Tripta Ji Gurdwara Sahib in Plymouth welcomed 35 people to an interfaith drumming presentation and luncheon. It was a fun afternoon, with people moving to the music of Sikh drummers and musicians and a Hindu drummer. Visitors enjoyed an introduction to the gurdwara, and presentations by the musicians about cadence, the drums, how they are used in worship, and the relationship between drumming and faith. The group then sat down for a traditional Sikh langar meal.

We're looking forward to more programs like this one!

Uncovering our Shared Values
An Exploration of Faith Traditions
Registration Now Open

It is 2016: A Year of Faith and Peace. And we have kicked it off by creating an incredible opportunity for adults to explore the sacred texts and rituals of four different faiths, and to join in discussion of the values that underlie our different practices and how they can bring us together in common purpose. The program will consist of lectures, immersive worship experiences, dinners, and discussions at four different houses of worship:

Judaism: Tuesday, March 22nd, Temple Israel
Sikhism: Wednesday, April 27th, Mata Tripta Ji Gurdwara Sahib
Christianity: Wednesday, May 18th: 6pm -9pm, Christ Church Cranbrook
Islam: Wednesday, June 8th: 6pm - 9pm, The Muslim Unity Center
