IFLC Visionary Leadership Award Renamed to Honor
Dan Krichbaum
|
Leon Tupper and Dan Krichbaum used to run together in their Detroit neighborhood. They also car-pooled.
"I miss Dan terribly," says Tupper. "Hardly a week goes by that I'm not thinking of him for one reason or another."
As Tupper speaks of his friend, it is clear that he left a personal hole in Tupper's life, and a hole in the community.

Summer Studies
|
ETS is offering '2015 Summer Studies for the Community'. This two-week series of workshops have been designed for laypersons and clergy. They're offering a variety of topics that should prove to be informative, challenging and inspiring.
- ETS students whose program requirements include four workshops for graduation can satisfy two of those workshops by taking one Summer Study Workshop.
- CEU's. For professionals who require CEU credit through continuing education, check with your organization to see if these workshops can qualify. One CEU is equal to ten contract hours with seminary professors who hold doctoral degrees.

2015 Interfaith Prayer Luncheon
Planning is well underway for this year's Annual (13th) IHHC Interfaith Prayer Luncheon. Please note on your calendars Thursday September 24th as the date for this year's event, which will be again hosted by the Health Ministry Team at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit. Official Save The Date and Registration Flyers will be available in July and August.
This year's theme will focus on "patient-centered/person-focused" care with an emphasis on treating the "whole" person, that being Mind, Body and Spirit. We have invited Rev. Dr. Stephen Kliewer, LPC, Executive Director for the Wallowa Valley Center for Wellness in Oregon as our featured speaker.
Sponsorship packets are now available and will be distributed in mid-June. If your organization would be interested, please contact Ron Beford @ 810-923-6940 or rbeford@yahoo.com
