Imam Mohamed Almasmari  leads  Michigan Muslim Unity Council    | |

On campuses every day, young Muslims are called on to explain themselves, to explain what they are, and what they aren't, and to explain what they believe, not just in the religious sense, but in terms of their feelings about ISIS.   It's not an easy job, and as the new Executive Director of the Michigan Muslim Community Council (MMCC), Imam Mohamed Almasmari wants to prepare them to do that.     Read about Imam Almasmari and the MMCC |

Each year, we gather to honor some of our community's exceptional activists, raise funds for our community outreach, religious literacy and conciliation efforts, and enjoy an evening with our interfaith friends.  This year, the IFLC annual dinner will be October 14th at Shriners Silver Garden in Southfield.  A pre-dinner interfaith reception begins at 5:30 pm with the dinner program beginning promptly at 6:30 pm. We hope to see you there. We are pleased to share this year's honorees with you, and we look forward to honoring them and hearing from them at the dinner. We hope you'll join us.
