Before we head off to enjoy our 3-day weekend, let's take a moment to remember all of the heroes who have fought and given their lives so you and I can be free and live in the greatest country in the world.

A long cold winter deserves to be forgotten with a great grilling season! We have a variety of great vendors that can help you do just that.

Judo Joel Sauces - The Judo Joel's line of sauces and marinades have no high fructose corn syrup or MSG and are based on our original Jamaican Jerk Marinade which is low in sodium, sugars and carbs. The Morel season is short, but delicious. Make sure you come get your fresh picked Morels while supplies last!

Angel Morels...

Here in the best morel recipe ever!

1/3 cup diced onion (Vidalia preferred)

4 Tbsp butter

1/3 cup diced green or red pepper

1 lb fresh Morels, sliced in half vertically

2 Tbsp flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp sugar

1 Tbsp Soy sauce

1/2 pound of angel hair pasta or bird's nest pasta

Prepare the half pasta according to directions and drain.

In a large sauté pan sauté pepper and onion in 2Tbs butter for 1 minute

Make a roux out of the flour, soy sauce, salt and sugar in a separate pan (it has to be stirred constantly)

Turn heat to low - add morels, and onion and pepper mixture.

Cover and cook 30 minutes.

This Monday is Memorial Day, and Market Flowers has you covered. We have fresh made bouquets, Roses, Carnations, and these awesome red, white, and blue Fuji Mums pictured above. We are closed on Monday, so stop in over the weekend to pick your Memorial Day flowers!

Market Flowers is open Thursday and Friday 9am - 3pm, Saturday and Sunday 7am - 1pm

Special Event at the Annex

SoCal Style will be hosting their 2nd pet rescue event down here at the Farmers Market Annex on Sunday June 8th from 9am - 1pm. Come down and meet some great pets that are available for adoption & interact with some wonderful folks that put their passion into helping pets big and small.

You will be a able to help out these rescues by buying one of their stylish shirts and sporting their message, becoming a foster (and hero), shopping their fun and funky pet centered crafts or just sharing their adoptable pets with someone in your life, that needs some company in their life.
