Speed Networking
Speed Networking is returning on Tuesday, December 6, from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
This popular event, which is set up like speed dating, can generate more leads for you in an hour and a half than some get in a month.

Pazdur Named CFO
Christine Pazdur, a seven year employee, has been elevated to the position of Chief Financial Officer for the Greater Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce. Rex Richards, President of the Chamber, states that "Christine plays a vital and significant role in the Chamber's strong financial condition with her expertise in accounting, budgeting, and cash flow management." The president further states that, "Christine is a highly knowledgeable accounting professional who has brought value to chamber operations because of her insight on financial matters."
Christine joined the chamber in the fall of 2009 as Director of Accounting. Prior to her employment with the Valpo Chamber, she was Director of Accounting for Focus Management, a hotel and hospitality firm and, prior to that, Director of Accounting for the Michigan City Yacht Club. Christine is a graduate of Loyola University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

The holiday season is upon us and the Valpo Chamber Gift Certificates are flying out the door. Sue, our Resource Director, is ready to take orders for you to surprise your family, friends, teachers, coaches, bosses, or employees with a gift that makes everyone smile. Valpo Chamber Gift Certificates can be purchased in any denomination and can be used at over 140 Valpo Chamber member businesses. If you have a large order, we ask that you call ahead. Please remember the Valpo Chamber will be closed December 24 through December 27, so please make your Christmas gift certificate purchases by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 23!

November Wrap Up

Valpo Chamber Leadership Academy Concludes
On Thursday, November 17, the Valpo Chamber Leadership Academy graduated its 11th class. Since August, this group of 14 individuals has met once every two weeks to learn valuable leadership skills and how to be more engaged in the community.
