The Valpo Chamber is now accepting nominations for the Distinguished Community Leader and Legacy of Service Awards. These two awards are the highest honors bestowed each year by the Valpo Chamber.
The Distinguished Community Leader award is given to an individual who demonstrates a leadership role, is successful in promoting and developing business and industry, is involved and contributes to the community, has a general reputation among the community business leaders and enhances quality of life on a sustained basis.
The Valpo Chamber Board of Directors created the Legacy of Service Award in 2004 to give recognition to individuals who have, over the course of time or in an extraordinary circumstance, given service beyond what is expected in their profession. They have, in fact, created an example to which others might aspire and a legacy from which others might learn the value of community service.

Holiday Open House
Our annual Holiday Open House is quickly approaching. On Thursday, December 1, from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., join us to celebrate the season and the year.
Enjoy a relaxing evening at the Chamber office, located at 162 W Lincolnway, complete with music, refreshments, and delicious hors d'ouevres provided by Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa.
Decked out for the holiday season, our second floor conference rooms will prove to be a fantastic setting to connect with friends and associates and exchange holiday tidings!

Speed Networking
Speed Networking is returning on Tuesday, December 6, from 3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
This popular event, which is set up like speed dating, can generate more leads for you in an hour and a half than some get in a month.

Shop Local
This holiday season, the Valpo Chamber wants you to think about shopping local. Throughout the season we will be reminding you of the great options you have right here in the region.
To get things started, we are going to have a contest! From now until Saturday, November 26, we want you to post a selfie on social media using #ShopValpo while patronizing a Valpo Chamber member business. When you do that, you will be entered to win one of 5 - $100 Valpo Chamber Gift Certificate. We are giving five of those away!
So remember to use #ShopValpo this month and support local businesses! Enter as many times as you would like!

2017 Partnerships
The Valpo Chamber Partners (VCP) program provides members with options for streamlining their Chamber sponsorship opportunities, while enhancing their visibility and promotional opportunities.
This annual marketing investment prominently promotes member businesses on signage, inside Chamber publications, on the website, on the new mobile app, and at events throughout the year. The VCP is a terrific way to gain extensive exposure and valuable name and logo recognition.
The VCP offers four partner packages - Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze - at four price points. Each package includes incentives, complimentary tickets to events, special recognition and promotion, and sponsorship of high-profile networking and educational events.

October Wrap Up

State Candidate Election Forum
On Tuesday, October 4, the Valpo Chamber, in partnership with the Porter County League of Women Voters held a Candidate Forum for candidates for Indiana State Senate District 5, and the Indiana State Representative District 4 candidates. More than 50 people were in attendance at this informative event. _________________________________________________

County Candidate Election Forum
On Tuesday, October 18, a second Election Forum was held to give candidates from Porter County a chance to speak in front of local residents. Candidates from the At-Large Races for Porter County Council, and the contested race for Porter County Commissioner were invited to participate. This event was held in partnership with the Porter County League of Women Voters.
