State of the Streets
Join us on Friday, June 10, from 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. as Matt Evans, Director of Public Works for the City of Valparaiso, addresses Valpo Chamber members on the issue of street maintenance and repair.
This event will be held at the Valpo Chamber, 162 W Lincolnway. All members are welcome to attend this presentation at no charge. However, reservations are requested.

Leadership Academy
The Valpo Chamber Leadership Academy encourages individuals to be trustees of their community - to work for the common good - and to become a leader for the entire community. The program uniquely focuses on connection and engagement in community service - specifically, leadership roles.
The Valpo Chamber Leadership Academy complements other leadership organizations with a focus on the skill and knowledge necessary to be an effective leader in the community; for example, expectations of board service, governance, understanding financial statements, fundraising, ethics, accountability, and time management. The Valpo Chamber will hold its annual Member/Guest Event on Wednesday, June 8, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Valpo Chamber, 162 W Lincolnway.
Members are encouraged to invite non-member businesses to learn more about the benefits of membership in the Valpo Chamber.
Complimentary cocktails and appetizers will be served and both members and non-members will be eligible for door prizes. Members must bring a non-member guest in order to attend this free event.

Community Improvement Awards
The Valpo Chamber and the City of Valparaiso will recognize local businesses for their commitment and investment in Valparaiso by awarding the 49th Annual Community Improvement Awards.
This luncheon will honor the recipients and their projects that improve the city. These projects will join the more than 300 properties that have been recognized since the award program began. Community Improvement Awards are based on the visual impact of exterior appearance and are judged on the following criteria: - enhances the attractiveness of Valparaiso
- compatible with the area and environment
- enhances the quality of life and promotes pride in Valpo
- makes a commitment to Valparaiso's future This year's luncheon will be held on Wednesday, July 27, at the William E. Urschel Pavilion at Central Park Plaza. The event begins at noon.

This booklet is mailed to 4,000 businesses in Valparaiso and is also used in our popular "Newcomer" packets and distributed to guests of the Valpo Chamber.
Use this directory when choosing who to do business with in and around Valparaiso. Like you, these businesses have made a commitment to the health of the Valparaiso business community.
Please note that on page 18 of this directory, there is a list of non-profit members who make up a large percentage of the membership. Pines Village Retirement Communities, Inc. was inadvertently left off this list. We apologize for the oversight on our part.
