Quarterly Luncheon
Join us on April 27, at the Aberdeen Manor, for the Valpo Chamber's Quarterly Membership Luncheon. At this event, we will host a panel discussion concerning the economic outlook for the City of Valparaiso.
The panel will consist of Dr. E. Ric Frataccia, Superintendent of Valparaiso Community Schools; Patrick Lyp, Economic Development Director for the City of Valparaiso; Jim Mooney, Executive Director of the Valparaiso Redevelopment Commission; and Rex Richards, President of the Valpo Chamber and Valparaiso Economic Development Corporation.
Topics that will be highlighted will include the $142M expansion to the school system's facilities, the Valpo dark fiber project, upcoming business projects within the City, and the marketing efforts to sell Valparaiso as a site for business expansion and relocation. These four individuals will be discussing the initiatives and recent successes that are building the economic engine of the Valparaiso area.

On Monday, April 11, Chef Pat Higgins will prepare a scrumptious meal to be paired with delectable wine samples to accentuate and delight your palate.

Focus Group Held at Valpo Chamber
In April, the Valpo Chamber will be hosting a series of focus groups to better understand the membership's needs. We are interested in feedback regarding the chamber's activities, publications, and general communications. We are working hard to meet your needs but it is important to learn how you feel we are doing.
If you have never participated in a focus group, a focus group is a small-group discussion guided by a trained leader. To learn more about thoughts, perceptions, and opinions on a designated topic. The information is to guide future actions. We are interested in your honest impression - what works and what doesn't work. Please be assured that your participation will remain confidential and the information you share will not be connected to you in any way, as we have hired an independent group, Organizational Development Solutions, Inc., to facilitate. Focus group dates and times are as follows:
Focus Group 1 - April 18 - 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Focus Group 2 - April 20 - 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Focus Group 3 - April 25 - 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
All focus groups are scheduled for 90 minutes. We ask that you please stay for the entire conversation. All focus groups will take place in Council Chambers at Valparaiso City Hall.
Although we hope you will join us, participation is voluntary. To compensate you for your time, all attendees will receive a $25.00 Valpo Chamber gift certificate. In addition, refreshments will be served. Time 'Fore' Golf
Registration has begun for the Valpo Chamber's FunDay Golf Classic.
This year's event will be held at the Valparaiso Country Club on Monday, June 27. With two flights, this is one of the largest golf outings in the region each year.
