VALPO CHAMBER HOSTS FRANKLINCOVEY "THE 5 CHOICES TO EXTRAORDINARY PRODUCTIVITY" | |
Every so often an event takes place that can revolutionize your way of thinking. The Valpo Chamber is proudly hosting such an event. FranklinCovey, a global company specializing in performance improvement, will present its one-day workshop, "The 5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity."
The full-day event will help individuals, teams, and organizations implement a process that dramatically increases their ability to achieve their most important outcomes, both personally and professionally. Supported by science and years of experience, "The 5 Choices" not only produces a measurable increase in productivity, but also provides a renewed sense of engagement and accomplishment.
FranklinCovey's "The 5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity" will be held at Valparaiso University Harre Union, 1509 Chapel Drive, on Wednesday, November 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The $399 registration covers class materials as well as a light breakfast and lunch. The registration fee is discounted to $379 for 5 - 9 registrations and $359 for 10+ registrations.

The Distinguished Community Leader and Legacy of Service Awards represent the highest recognition of our Chamber towards members of the Valparaiso business community.
The Distinguished Community Leader Award is given to an individual within the community who demonstrates a leadership role, is successful in promoting and developing business and industry, is involved and contributes to the community, has a general reputation among the community business leaders, and enhances the quality of life in our community on a sustained basis.
The Legacy of Service Award recognizes an individual in the community who has, over the course of time or in an extraordinary circumstance, given service to the community beyond what is expected in their profession. They have, in fact, created an example to which others might aspire and a legacy from which others might learn the value of community service.
This year's awards will be presented at the Salute to Leadership Dinner on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Strongbow Inn.

CHAMBER NETWORK NIGHT SCARES UP CONNECTIONS! | |
On Thursday, October 17, the Porter County Chamber Coalition of the Valparaiso, Portage, Chesterton/Duneland, Hebron and Kouts Chambers, hosted its annual "Chamber Network Night," the largest business-to-business networking event in the region.
Close to 1,000 business professionals attended this year's premier business-to-business networking event showcasing the innovative businesses in Porter County. Over 150 exhibitors were under one roof to introduce their newest and greatest products and services.
Citizens Fianancial Bank served as Grand Sponsor. The Grand Sponsor, in conjunction with additional event sponsors, helps make Chamber Network Night the premiere networking event of the year.
