Just as the 8th graders welcomed new first graders with a rose on the first day of school, first grade students return the gift by offering their 8th grade buddies a rose on the last day of school. The event also includes grades' students presenting artistic gifts to the community and a farewell line-up of staff shaking hands with each student as a send off to summer. Don't miss the Reverse Rose Ceremony and Assembly on 6/17. |
FAREWELL TO STAFF MEMBERS
|
We send a heartfelt "thank you" to a few very special teachers who will not be returning in the fall. On behalf of the entire Journey School community, we are grateful to Jan Poth, Storm Dye, and Todd Skidmore. Thank you, Friends, for your years of service to the children and for helping Journey School become what it is today. We wish you well in all of your future endeavors and we will miss you dearly.

Last night's Talent Share was pure delight as 4th through 8th graders performed acts of comedy, gymnastics, dance, singing and music.
Thank you to all of the students and parents who helped make the Talent Share and fundraiser a success; thanks to The Pradhan Studios for their photos; and, especially, thank you to our music teachers, Diana Corbo and Katie Pitts, for their hard work in orchestrating the event.

YOUR HOURS HELP US GET GRANTS
|
We are grateful to all of the parents, grandparents and community members who graciously donate countless hours of service to help make Waldorf education possible for our students. If you chaperoned for a field trip, led a reading group, worked in the garden, or participated in a work day, please log your volunteer hours. Don't worry about dates--just round to the nearest half hour. Need help? Email PC.
|
Parent and community volunteers have invested countless hours to make the students' education possible. We welcome all volunteers and parents to a Volunteer Appreciation Tea on Weds., 6/8 at 11am in the Green Heart Garden. Enjoy tea, treats, artistic gifts from the students, and a special craft.

There was a great turnout for the Kindy "tie dye" party this week as parents prepared for Kindergartens' end of the year ceremony. We're excited for our students who will cross the Rainbow Bridge into 1st grade.
