As Memorial Day ushers in an unofficial launch to summer, let's all enjoy a safe and fun-filled long weekend. May we also remember and give thanks to those who selflessly sacrificed their freedom for ours.

TAKING IT OUTSIDE IN GRADE 5
|
Our 5th graders recently ventured to Catalina for a 3-day class field trip. Starting in third grade, overnight "exceptional experiences" are an important part of curricular learning. Special thanks to Miss Torrey for capturing photos of their trip and for sharing the experience on our blog.
As the year of "exceptional experiences" comes to an end, we wish to thank parents for financially supporting their child's overnight field trips. Without parent support class trips would not be possible. We are also grateful for your contributions to the All School Field Trip Fund that enables all students to participate in Journey's unique learning experiences.
|
This year's third grade class trip was to 123 Farm where students spent two days and nights on a working farm. We'll let pictures of Ms. Nicholson's class tell the story: Miss Collins' class returned from the farm today. We'll share her pictures in next week's news. Learn more about the 3rd grade curriculum here.
