EARTH DAY IS EVERY DAY
Student Art Work
Student chalkboard drawing greeted families this week
Earth Day is every day this month while earning money for Journey School. Donations of clothing, textiles and shoes will be reused and recycled by Clothes for the Cause. Our goal is for each student to bring ten large garbage bags filled with acceptable items. Learn more on our blog.
LEARNING ABOUT US & THE WORLD
The sensitive subjects of human development and physiology have been the topic of a month-long main lesson block for our 7th graders. A recent field trip to "Bodies: the Exhibition" in Buena Park brought about feelings of awe, wonder, and excitement in viewing what lies beneath the skin. Lessons included interviews with parents about their experiences in adolescence, daily dietary logs, and puberty talks. Sky shares main lesson work below:

In their Spanish Language class, 7th graders will give individual oral presentations over the next few weeks on a selected Spanish-speaking country, answer questions about their researched country entirely in Spanish, and bring a gift of a traditional food or artistic rendering to share with the class. Below is work from recent presentations:

This week Ms. Cameron's class prepared for Friday's presentation of "Francis and the Wolf of Gubbio" that will be presented at 9:15am for family and peers. Check out these photos of their hard work:
