Welcome to Harvest Faire
Come One, Come All to Journey School's largest event of the year, Harvest Faire! This Saturday, 11/14, from 11-5, the Journey community will turn our campus into an old-fashioned county fair with games, nature crafts, live music, artisan vendors, and delicious food!
Invite everyone! Entry is FREE! Get 10% off tickets through Friday: Only $20 for 22 tickets. Tickets are available at drop off or pick up.
MANY HANDS MAKE IT HAPPEN
  • Volunteer BadgeA BIG Thank You to everyone who signed up for a shift at Harvest Faire. All Volunteers are asked to "CHECK IN" and pick up your Volunteer Sticker at the Volunteer Tent PRIOR to the start of your shift. From set up to clean up, all day, all volunteers must check in.
  • We are still in need Fairy Cafe donations. Please help provide goodies for the most profitable venue at the Faire. Cupcakes are especially needed. Get more info or sign up here.
FOCUS ON LEARNING
Journey first graders have been enjoying their Nature Studies hikes to Aliso Creek. Ms. Lee's students collaboratively built a stone bridge to get from one side of the creek to the other. Thank you Journey Dad, Mr. Martinez, for the great creek photo.

One student found a smiley face in the cliff and assiduously added his own details (including eye brows, mouth and nose).

The Art Shed space was put to good use this week:

6th grade painted watercolors in Monday's rain
7th Grade Artists
7th graders completed an acrylic sign for Harvest Faire

Enjoy Thanksgiving and a stress-free Holiday Season. Get your holiday shopping done NOW! An envelope was sent home with your youngest Journey sibling. In it you'll find flyers, catalogs, and order forms for gifts that also give back to Journey. Deliveries will arrive the first two weeks of December. Click here for your easy Shopping Guide.
BOOK FAIR OPENS AT HARVEST FAIRE
The Scholastic Book Fair will open its doors at Harvest Faire and will continue through 11/20. Book Fair hours are Mon-Thu from 8 to 3:30 and on Friday, 8-1. Students will have the chance to make wish lists with their class. Parents may also purchase items in our parent only "Back Room Sale."

Fairy Market

Fairy Market is Dec. 7-9, so don't wait to start making your family's gift donations. This popular "pop-up-shop" fundraiser allows your child the opportunity to choose the perfect gift for their loved ones. Gift donations will be collected 12/2-4. Get gift ideas on Pinterest or from the Fairy Market slideshow.

Did you miss the deadline to order your child's school photos? Don't worry! You can still order digitals:

LAST CALL FOR LOST & FOUND
Tomorrow is the last day to collect belongings from the Lost & Found bins before the items are donated to a local thrift store. Lost and Found is located between the school store and the restrooms.
