1st graders are learning about the legend of St. Martin who took the cape from his shoulders, tore it in half, and covered a poor, shivering beggar. St. Martin became known for his gentleness, his unassuming nature and his ability to bring warmth and light to those who were previously in darkness.

Ms. Lee's "Martinmas" Chalkboard Drawing
|
Kindy through 2nd grade students will remember St. Martin at their upcoming Lantern Walk celebrations where they will reflect on how they have invited the spirit of St. Martin into their hearts. The making of their paper lanterns is symbolic of giving protection to their own "flame" so they may carry it safely through the darkness.

IMPORTANT PLAYGROUND UPDATE
