VOLUNTEERS BRING MORE THAN SCIENCE
Erik, our Master Gardener volunteer, brings so many resources to our Ecoliteracy program. Two of our favorites are his fellow UCCE Master Gardeners of Orange County: Jon & Ed. We can't thank them enough for bringing avocado grafting lessons to our students and building beautiful tables for our Green Heart Garden. 8th graders refresh their garden know-how at the new long table built under the grape arbor in the Sunny Patch. Erik built the grape arbor and two new beds in the Sunny Patch over summer. Join the volunteers on Wednesdays at 8:30am.

5TH GRADE IS "DIGGING" THE GARDEN
Miss Torrey's 5th graders joined our seasoned 8th graders in the Green Heart Garden on Wednesday morning. The "greenies" weeded, tilled, watered, planted seeds, pruned, dug holes and debugged the fruit trees with their new mentors.
