UNANIMOUS APPROVAL OF THE JOURNEY SCHOOL CHARTER
|
Congratulations! Last night, the Capistrano Unified School District approved Journey School's third charter petition...unanimously! The students' many accomplishments were a point of pride and highlighted at the hearing. Mr. Keller and other eloquent presenters painted a vibrant picture of Journey's educational program and future directions.
Thank you to the dozens of parents, students, and staff members that attended. We're also grateful to our educational partners at CUSD. It's an honor and privilege to operate a charter school of choice in the district. We look forward to continual school improvement in the years ahead.

Students, faculty and parents gathered this week at a special assembly to say farewell to Mr. Shaheer, who is in his last week as Executive Director. In traditional Journey fashion, the students offered gifts of music and song.
Afterward, many students waited patiently to give him a personal hug. Aloha and Mahalo, Mr. Shaheer. You will be missed!

THANK YOU, JOURNEY PARENTS!
|
A big "thank you" to parents for a special Teacher Appreciation Week and fabulous luncheon on Wednesday. Many hours went into the preparations, and the teachers and staff felt very loved. Parents have been extra involved in other ways this past month--attending class plays, 8th grade presentations, working to maintain the outdoor classrooms, chaperoning overnight field trips, helping with class play costumes, and contributing to field trip fundraisers. Your support is never overlooked and we thank you for every ounce of energy, time and dollars donated.
