KNOW WHAT OC FAMILY SAYS ABOUT HARVEST FAIRE - COMING ON 11/2
|
Read about Harvest Faire, one of Orange County's most unique fall festivals, in October's issue of OC Register Family Magazine (pg. 50). Or, read past articles in our online newsroom.
Avoid long lines by purchasing tickets online or at school starting next Wednesday. Admission is free and proceeds from the activity booths allow the children to experience a well-rounded educational program. Booth volunteers are coordinated by your child's class. Click here to learn how you can help as a parent volunteer, or find out how to become a community sponsor.

KNOW THIS WEEK'S ATTENDANCE NUMBERS
|
We want to thank everyone who is working hard to reach our 98% schoolwide attendance goal. After all, students can't do well in school if they are not present. Although we took another dip this week to 95.32%, our year-to-date average is 96.13%. For those of you who need a gentle nudge, we thank you in advance for working towards changing this trend.
|
FESTIVALS & SCHOOL CULTURE
|
Parent Cabinet invites you to join us for a presentation by Tammra Tanner: "Complementing the Waldorf School experience; Cultivating a whole lifestyle through warm encouragement, hands-on activities and purpose," This first event of the Parent Education series, Head, Heart, and Hands, will begin on Wednesday, October 16th (9-11:30am) in the Oak and Acorn Cafe. (While Journey School facilitates many parent education opportunities, we do not manage them; each provider is entirely responsible for all aspects of the class).

Gratitude Team - Do you love to write thank you notes? Are you good with detail and follow-up on tasks? Join the Journey Gratitude Team! We need just 2 people who will hand write thank you notes to donors, communicate information to our communication team, help write press releases (we'll teach you how), and follow-up a few months later to let our funders know how their money was spent. Help us show gratitude and build our connections with donors! Email communitypartners@journeyschool.net to spread gratitude!
Parent Ambassador Training - Do you love to tell others about Journey and the impact the school and community has had on your child and family? Come to the Parent Ambassador Training on Oct. 23 at 11am and learn how you can share your stories with potential donors and community partners. As our parent voice to the outside community you will bring Journey's story to life and help cultivate the relationships that will fund our future! Email communitypartners@journeyschool.net to share our stories!
Do you have tech skills and 2 hours available every Wednesday? Journey communication volunteers need a regular helper to copy and paste the newsletter draft into Constant Contact on Wednesday afternoons/evening. If you're good, it won't even take 2 hours! Contact news@journeyschool.net if you are interested.
