Camp Soaring Eagle is excited to welcome our new Executive Director, Charles Wendt.

"I am delighted to have the opportunity to be involved here. So many children with serious illnesses don't have the chance to enjoy what a camp experience can offer. To laugh and have fun is so rewarding to them as well as those around them. Through the power of philanthropy every child gets to attend along with their families at no cost."

Wendt brings over 20 years of successful fund raising experience most recently as President/CEO of Montana State University Billings Foundation. Prior to that he was Deputy Director for Advancement at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff. He spent many years in the corporate environment finally as Director of Marketing for a Fortune 500 company. A native of Colorado he holds degrees from the University of Denver.

Thank you Tony Stewart Foundation
Camp Soaring Eagle would like to thank The Tony Stewart Foundation for their generous donation of $5,000 to support the Oncology Camper Weekends.
We are honored to have been chosen as one of the 41 charities from across the United States serving critically ill children.

During the past 12 years TSF has awarded more than $6.5 million to 89 outstanding charities. The Foundation proudly stands behind it's slogan "Accelerating Change". The heart of the Foundation is to provide monetary awards to organizations serving children who are critically ill or physically challenged as well as those serving animals at-risk or considered an endangered species.

Thank you AZ Tech Council
On January 20th, the Arizona Technology Council held it's 7th Annual Phoenix Golf Tournament at Troon North Golf Club. This scramble format tournament brought industry leaders and technologists together for a day of networking and sportsmanship.

Camp Soaring Eagle is honored to have been selected as a charity of choice for the tournament. Rick James, Founding Family member was on hand at the golf tournament selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a Seven Canyons Vacation package. Because of the support and generosity of the golfers we were able to raise enough money to sponsor a camper to attend camp in 2016! It costs $1,358 to send one child to camp. Our Volunteers Rock!
Camp would not be possible if it weren't for the countless hours of time that our wonderful volunteers give us. Last weekend we celebrated these incredible people with a Volunteer Slumber Party at Camp. There were a lot of campfire stories told about what it means to volunteer at Camp and the impression that our campers have on everyone who is fortunate enough to meet them.

"My favorite part of Camp is the Bunk Talks that the campers participate in at night. It touched my heart to hear the kids talk about how much camp means to them and how much they look forward to it, they were able to really open up to us".
