If there was one thread running through the entire Yale Education Leadership Conference last Friday, the point was this: No matter how compelling the policy pronouncements get, InDepth successful reform relies more on smart actions - and diligent follow through.  This means rigorous analysis, quality-controlled implementation, and steady management.  It's not sexy.
