With children from 80 language groups and every racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic background, including large numbers who require support as English Language Learners, Hartford schools encompass an astonishing array of cultures and needs.  What's being done to prepare school principals and teachers to cope with those challenges and turn student needs into assets

School Leaders Take the Message of College Readiness to the Community Checklist 
Two high-level leaders from the Hartford Public Schools met with a large group of parents this week and gave a detailed checklist - and some straight talk - on what parents need to do in the home to have their children graduate from college.
