Some bilingual schools in other cities across the country are among the most sought-after schools by students and their parents, but no such option currently exists in Hartford, a city that enrolls more than one in eight of the English Language Learners in this state.  For these children, a new HPS feasibility study explores the possibilities for enhancing bilingual education; other, non-English language training; and multicultural programs.  In so doing, it sparks a conversation that so many city residents have wanted for some time.

Five Schools Under the Microscope

TurnaroundReport2-5-13
