AURI Brings Together Thought Leaders to Strengthen Minnesota's Food Industry    

As new opportunities and consumer preferences continue to drive growth in the food arena, AURI understands the importance of continually taking the pulse of the industry for new insights. It accomplishes this with the help of a Food Industry Thought Leaders (FITL) team, comprised of industry experts who are dedicated to exploring market opportunities and challenges the food industry faces.

Created in 2015, the group and its members have the opportunity to influence what public domain research is prioritized by AURI, identify solutions and opportunities for their business or industry and give access to a diverse cross-section of industry experts and networks. 
You're Invited: Alternative Thermal Sources Event
AURI and CERTS invite you to attend a special event on May 19 to learn about wood heat as an alternative thermal source for commercial poultry operations. 

Come learn about a 1.65 MMBtu wood chip furnace, fuel cost savings, robust flock production, and performance in a live production environment from the project manager, Fritz Ebinger, and area farmer and project host, Bill Koenig. You will also learn about financing mechanisms to fund equipment and improvements.

This educational event is free and open to all poultry farmers, and lunch is included!
Minnesota's BioEconomy Production Incentive

Minnesota has built a strong foundation for the biofuel and forest products industries, so the Minnesota legislature's passing of the BioEconomy Production Incentive in 2015 was a significant step in advancing the state as a global center for bioeconomy project development. The goal is incentivising utilization of the state's abundant agricultural and forestry feedstocks to add value to local economies and develop sustainable fuels and chemicals.
