AURI welcomes new staff
Berquam 
AURI is pleased to welcome Dan Skogen and Jennifer Berquam to our staff. Skogen is planning and government relations director and Berquam will be project manager for collaborative initiatives.

AURI opens St. Paul office

AURI has opened new offices in St. Paul on the University of Minnesota campus. This is the fourth official location for AURI, which also has offices in Crookston, Marshall and Waseca.  

 

A recently released research report looks at the relationship between the increased use of DDGS in pig diets and increased cases of Mulberry Heart disease in pigs.
Some theories state that including DDGS may be a contributing factor to MHD. This study was done to determine if including DDGS in sow and nursery pig diets is a contributing factor to MHD, and whether supplementing diets with higher levels of vitamin E will reduce the incidence of MHD.

On Friday, January 4, AURI staff, local officials and media toured two Fergus Falls businesses that received assistance from AURI: Vector Windows (formerly Vinylite), a window company that is now using a soy-based foam insulation, and Nots!, a non-nut snack for those with allergies.
