Convention Traffic Alert

News was released this morning that weekend closures of the Fort Pitt Tunnel will create some necessary detours for those planning to commute via the tunnel to the 150th Convention at St. Paul's, Mt. Lebanon this weekend.

What this means for convention is as follows:

Fort Pitt Tunnel and Parkway will be OPEN for Friday night drive to and from Mt. Lebanon. It will close outbound (to Mt. Lebanon) at 9 p.m.
Fort Pitt Tunnel and Parkway will be CLOSED for Saturday morning drive to Mt. Lebanon.
Fort Pitt Tunnel and Parkway will be OPEN for Saturday afternoon drive back from Mt. Lebanon and will not close until 9 p.m.

Detours will be posted but please allow extra time for the commute.

A clear alternate route would be via the Liberty Tunnels and continue on RT. 19 South to St. Paul's. This alternate route may have additional traffic so extra time Saturday morning should be allowed.

Noon to 4:00 p.m. - Exhibit Set-up - Parish Hall

Special 150th Anniversary Celebration

6:00 p.m. Informal dinner buffet, live music, and a multi-media display of our Diocesan history. The evening will feature a history scavenger hunt (prizes will be awarded.)

7:30 p.m. The Rt. Rev. Sean Rowe, Keynote Speaker, "The Next 150 Years"

8:00 p.m. Dessert and coffee - Parish Hall

Saturday, November 14

8:00 a.m. Registration
9:00 a.m. Opening Prayers
9:15 a.m. Business Session

11:00 a.m. Anniversary Festival Eucharist
12:30 p.m. Lunch and District Meetings
1:40 p.m. Bishop's Address, Chancellor's Report, and Business Session
3:20 p.m. Adjournment

Convention Parking and Access

St. Paul's Episcopal Church is located at 1066 Washington Road (Rt. 19) at the intersection with Mayfair Drive in Mt. Lebanon. Parking lot access is from Mayfair Drive and the center door facing the lot is fully handicap accessible. Additional parking is available at First Church of Christ, Scientist, 1100 Washington Road, an approximately three minute walk just south of St. Paul's.
