Health Ministry Opportunity
Episcopal Health Ministries (EHM) promotes wholeness in mind, body and soul of the individual sitting in the pews in our churches. This organization has been serving the church since the mid 1990. Programs and materials have been developed and provided for parishes on various topics, bullying, emergency preparedness, addiction and recovery, grief support, spiritual growth and many more.
EHM is a volunteer organization led by a board of directors and a group of regional representatives who meet by teleconference for planning and program implementation. Each diocese has a contact person to promote and coordinate programs and materials in the local parishes.
The Diocese of Pittsburgh is looking for a contact person who is willing to serve as a resource coordinator to our congregations and work with the other contacts within the Province III EHM network.
All questions can be directed to Sharon Logsdon, RN, EHM Coordinator for Province III at sll@atlanicbb.net or 301-520-6512 |

| Presiding Bishop Michael B. Curry makes a point during his Nov. 1 sermon at Washington National Cathedral just after he was installed as The Episcopal Church's 27th presiding bishop and its primate. |
Evangelism, racial reconciliation rooted in love will anchor work ahead, he says
[Episcopal News Service - Washington, D.C.] At the start of his All Saints Sunday installation Eucharist in Washington National Cathedral, Presiding Bishop Michael B. Curry declared his bona fides to the church.
After knocking on the west doors in the traditional manner at noon as the sun broke through the clouds and being admitted to the cathedral by the Very Rev. Gary Hall, the cathedral's dean, and Diocese of Washington Bishop Mariann Budde, Curry was asked to "tell us who you are."
"I am Michael Bruce Curry, a child of God, baptized in St. Simon of Cyrene Church, Maywood, Illinois, on May 3, 1953, and since that time I have sought to be a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ," he replied.
"Michael, Bishop in the Church of God, we have anticipated your arrival with great joy," 26th Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori told him.
"In the Name of Christ, we greet you," she added, and the greeting was echoed by the more than 2,500 people in attendance.

Pittsburgh Youth Initiative
Due to the change in venue for Diocesan Convention, the outreach work planned by youth of the diocese outside of the Cathedral has been cancelled.
We would still be happy to collect leftover Halloween candy and treats to distribute to people in need.
An alternate outreach event will be scheduled in the near future. Please continue to check Grace Happens, the diocesan webpage, and Pittsburgh Youth Initiative's Facebook page for upcoming events.
Thank you,
Brent
