Agreement Affirms Commitment to Shepherd's Heart

The diocese and Shepherd's Heart Fellowship have signed an agreement to promote and sustain Shepherd's Heart's ministry to the homeless, military veterans, and others in similar need.

Many of our parishes have long-supported Shepherd's Heart and regularly bring, prepare, and serve meals to its congregation.

The agreement allows the Episcopal Diocese to have a lasting involvement in that ministry.  It addresses property issues and sets aside other differences in favor of serving the poor.

Details are contained in a joint statement issued October 9th by the diocese and Shepherd's Heart, which is posted on the diocesan website at http://www.episcopalpgh.org/agreement-affirms-commitment-to-shepherds-heart-homeless-ministry/
