Oak Grove Personnel Update

We have bittersweet news to share. Fourth grade teacher and Oak Grove veteran Dauray Impersine has accepted a position with AT&T and will leave Oak Grove at the end of December. We are so excited for this new opportunity for her and at the same time will miss her at Oak Grove! Dauray has been an amazing teacher and friend to many. We appreciate her service and wish her all the best. Please take a moment to read this note from Dauray...

For the past six and a half years, I have had the privilege and the pleasure of teaching the children of Oak Grove Elementary. I often tell people how lucky I feel to work here because I am surrounded by supportive parents, teachers, administration, and a student body that loves to learn. This has made my decision to accept a promotion in the private sector a very difficult one.  Knowing what I'm leaving behind makes this bittersweet for me.  However, I do believe in what I preach to the students everyday - it is important to always keep learning and striving to be the best you can be. I am accepting a job opportunity where I will be able to learn a whole new set of skills in the domain of learning and technology. Although this is an exciting time for me, I know there will be days that I long for the friendly faces of Oak Grove.  Thank you for all of your support throughout the years; it will be remembered fondly!

I am in the process of posting this position and hiring a new teacher. I will do my best to find an outstanding teacher to fill some big shoes!

Additionally, we are in the process of hiring a PreK para as Shawn Goodwin transitions to Dixie Tempel's vacant position. Our cafeteria manager, Yvette Johnson also retired. We will be filling that position as well.

Please contact me directly with your questions and concerns.

Sincerely,

Dr. Neely, Principal
