Oak Grove's Farm-to-School Day is Thursday, December 13th, and the item is local broccoli Broccoli has as much calcium ounce per ounce as milk and contains a few important phytochemicals to prevent carcinogens (cancer causing substances) from forming.

Don't miss this hard-working veggie either with the school lunch, as an a-la-carte item for $.75, or packed in lunch brought from home.

updatesUpdates & Reminders from Dr. Neely
  • We have a couple of traffic reminders for everyone:
    • Our entrance and exit are one-way only. We have seen several parents leaving through the entrance after picking up children from our after-school program.
    • Please be very mindful of the crosswalks and crossing guards, especially at Oak Grove/Fair Oaks and Oak Grove/Crestline.
    • Please park facing the correct direction in the parking spaces on Oak Grove Rd. You will get ticketed.
    • Please do not "invent" parking spaces at the entrance or on Oak Grove Rd (either direction). This creates blind spots for buses and cars entering and exiting our school.
We sincerely appreciate your willingness to work within these guidelines given the limited parking available on campus and the heavy traffic on Oak Grove Rd. during arrival and dismissal. Student safety is paramount. Thank you!
  • Every year, we collect donations and gift cards for our auxiliary staff for the holidays. If you would like to participate, please send in your contribution in an envelope marked "Auxiliary" to the front office. Thank you!
toursHenderson Middle School Tours for Parents of Rising 6th Graders
Henderson Middle School PTSA will be conducting tours of the campus for parents on the following days and times.  Each of the tours will be followed by a Q&A session with the principal, Terese Allen. This is a great opportunity for parents to see the school and ask questions about the middle school experience.   Please plan to attend one of these events if your child will be attending HMS next year. Students will have their own tour in the spring.Henderson Middle School logo
