Last Spirit Night for 2012
Let's finish the year with a BANG! Oak Grove is celebrating the last Spirit Day/Night of 2012 next week on Thursday, Dec. 13th at Napoleon's Grill (click here for their website and address) . Show your spirit by wearing your Oak Grove shirts and holiday smiles. Please tell your family, friends, and colleagues that if they eat lunch or dinner at Napoleon's Grill on Dec. 13th, then 10% of their entire bill is donated to Oak Grove Elementary. |
December Farm-To-School Day
Oak Grove's Farm-to-School Day is Thursday, December 13th, and the item is local broccoli. Broccoli has as much calcium ounce per ounce as milk and contains a few important phytochemicals to prevent carcinogens (cancer causing substances) from forming.
Don't miss this hard-working veggie either with the school lunch, as an a-la-carte item for $.75, or packed in lunch brought from home.

Multicultural Fair and Art Show
Our fourth annual Multicultural Fair and Art Show has been scheduled for Saturday, April 20, 2013. We will have wonderful country and regional displays, delicious international food tasting, fun crafts, a variety of dancing, theatre, and a fabulous art show with your children's art.
Meeting: There will be a brief informational meeting in the school cafeteria on Thursday, December 13 at 8:15 am for anyone interested in helping with this fun and educational event. Any questions may be directed to

Henderson Middle School Tours for Parents of Rising 6th Graders
Henderson Middle School PTSA will be conducting tours of the campus for parents on the following days and times. Each of the tours will be followed by a Q&A session with the principal, Terese Allen. This is a great opportunity for parents to see the school and ask questions about the middle school experience. Please plan to attend one of these events if your child will be attending HMS next year. Students will have their own tour in the spring.  - Friday, January 18, 10 a.m.
- Thursday, February 7, 10 a.m.
- Thursday, February 7, 6:30 p.m.**
