updatesUpdates & Reminders from Dr. Neely
  • We have a couple of traffic reminders for everyone:
    • Our entrance and exit are one-way only. We have seen several parents leaving through the entrance after picking up children from our after-school program.
    • Please be very mindful of the crosswalks and crossing guards, especially at Oak Grove/Fair Oaks and Oak Grove/Crestline.
    • Please park facing the correct direction in the parking spaces on Oak Grove Rd. You will get ticketed.
    • Please do not "invent" parking spaces at the entrance or on Oak Grove Rd (either direction). This creates blind spots for buses and cars entering and exiting our school.
We sincerely appreciate your willingness to work within these guidelines given the limited parking available on campus and the heavy traffic on Oak Grove Rd. during arrival and dismissal. Student safety is paramount. Thank you!
  • There are only 3 weeks left in the first semester. Please take a look at the ways we will honor our third through fifth grade students for their accomplishments in the first semester. If your child would like to be honored, be sure he/she understands the available awards and their requirements. Dates and awards are listed here.
  • Every year, we collect donations and gift cards for our auxiliary staff for the holidays. If you would like to participate, please send in your contribution in an envelope marked "Auxiliary" to the front office. Thank you!
toursHenderson Middle School Tours for Parents of Rising 6th Graders
Henderson Middle School PTSA will be conducting tours of the campus for parents on the following days and times.  Each of the tours will be followed by a Q&A session with the principal, Terese Allen. This is a great opportunity for parents to see the school and ask questions about the middle school experience.   Please plan to attend one of these events if your child will be attending HMS next year.  Note: Students will have their own tour in the spring.Henderson Middle School logo

thank_youThank You from Cary Reynolds Elementary
Dear Dr. Neely,
On behalf of Cary Reynolds Elementary, thank you for your generous contribution of clothing donated to our students.  Due to our fragile economy, our families struggle to put food on the table and clothes on their children.
We often realize some of our children only have one to two changes of clothes and they have to share with their siblings. With the cold days ahead, your contribution will bring genuine smiles and warmth to our children. Thank you for thinking of us.

Sincerely,

Patricia Domin, R.N. B.S.N.
