 ~Celebrating Our Team~
TIP is honored to have an incredible team implementing our Improving Clinical Outcomes Through Integration (ICOTI) Initiative, designed to sustainably prevent malnutrition in HIV-exposed infants while also improving access to prevention resources for all children under 5 years of age. Under the leadership of Steph Blount, the Rwanda-based team has rapidly set a strong foundation on which all programs are being developed. Sean Morris is leading the US-based efforts to develop policies and procedures that will guide the expansion of farming cooperatives to 6 additional health centers, establish training gardens, and implement nutrition & sustainable agriculture curricula. His efforts could not have been complete without the tireless work of Whitney Waldron and Jamie Radawich. Jamie is building on his own experience at Nyange to help develop the Sustainable Agriculture Manual. Whitney is currently in Rwanda, gathering information to build a Nutrition Curriculum and to develop a Home Nutrition Assessment & Education program. What an inspiring group!

~Appreciating Our Partners~
We are very excited announce our second collaboration with Catapult Design! This time, we will be working with this human-centered design firm to better understand potential clean water solutions for HIV-affected families in rural Rwanda. Read about their site visit here! September saw the completion of another successful William Davidson Institute Global Impact Fellowship. Dan Bickley, with partner Delphine Uwamahoro, worked with registration staff to implement an electronic system to streamline referrals from the health center to the hospital. In a step back, he also interviewed a wide variety of stakeholders so as to map out the vast amount of information that flows between the health center and the hospital. We hope to utilize this information to identify opportunities to improve system efficiencies and decrease the work load of staff members.

 ~Thankful for Your Support~
The Ihangane Project would not have the impact it has without the unyielding commitment of the Rwandan people to improve their lives. Nor could we do this work without your support and belief that anything is possible with a little creativity and elbow grease. Thank you!
