General Assembly, Day 4
Lake Huron Friends,
For me this day began with a wonderful worship service. The preacher was the new President of Fuller Seminary and the choir was from a local Korean congregation. Very inspiring. The Assembly has chosen to have Communion at each worship service, just as our Presbytery has chosen. It is very meaningful for me to gather at the Table frequently.
This was a full day of scheduled committee meetings. Because some committees have much more work assigned to them some committees have finished their work and others still have hours of work ahead. I am sure that we will hear tomorrow many results of the committees' work.
The assembly will go back to plenary session at 2 pm tomorrow when the commissioners will begin to deal with the result of the committees' work.
I know that our commissioners depend on your prayers as they work long hours.
In Christ,
Jim Browne, Interim General Presbyter and
Ted McCulloch, Stated Clerk
