We have just confirmed on Monday, April 1, 2013, there is a public hearing in the Judiciary Committee,
the agenda includes a proposal for Eviction Reform.
The bill (HB #6661) involves
"Payment Into escrow" and provides a default judgement if the tenant fails to produce a payment.
All landlords should support this proposal. You can email your comments and testimony to the Judiciary Committee at
JUD.Testimony@cga.ct.gov, please do so before Monday at 9AM. You may also attend the public hearing that starts at 10AM in Hearing Room 1-E, a sign-up sheet for those wishing to speak will be available at 9AM.
