Greetings!

This is the final week of ClassE for the school year. I am so proud of how this group of 13 have matured and developed into thriving entrepreneurs. Come join to celebrate their success at the ClassE Trade Show and Millennial Entrepreneurs Presentation that will be at the LifeSpan Center on Tuesday, May 7th from 5-7:30 pm.

We hope to see parents, grandparents, sisters, brothers, class friends, investors and community leaders at the Trade Show. I saw a preview of the Millennial presentation this week with Jack Schultz and Craig Lindvahl, and you will won't want to miss it!

Tuesday, Diane Rieck, Franchise owner of Express Employment Professionals, a staffing business in Mattoon Illinois, came in with her son, Jaime Rieck, to talk present on generations in the workplace. They gave us some scenarios where employees in the work place may conflict with each other due to generational differences. then we discussed the different ways to avoid or ease confrontations. It was wonderful information that can be used in the workplace or in your personal life.

Cromwell Radio Group
with Jim Laake
Wednesday, ClassE met at the Cromwell Radio station, in Mattoon. Jim Laake was kind enough to let the class come in and gave us some listener demographic statistics. We learned that 104.3 FM has a demographic of 64% woman and 36% men. Each student also recorded an introduction of themselves and their business for the class advertisements. Tune in this next week on 92.1 the Ax and 102.7 to hear the spots promoting the trade show that the students helped record!

Mack Moore Shoe Company
with Bill Moore

Thursday, we went to Mack Moore Shoes in Charleston and met with Ian's father, Bill Moore. He told the story of his family business and how his store, which used to be on the square, relocated to Lincoln Ave. to attract more business. Bill selling from this shop as well as makes home visits and goes to industrial businesses on scheduled appointments to sell steel toed boots and certain slip resistant shoes. At the end of class a customer actually came in and the class was able to watch Mr. Moore help the customer.

Half of the class met at the Renewable Energy Center to discuss the trade show, while the other half worked at LD Mechanical designing and building the trade show banner mounts. The class hopes to reuse these each year of the trade show.
