Stadium Grill Tour
with Jerry Myerscough
Tuesday, we met at the Stadium Grill and listened to Jerry Myerscough, who also owns Jerry's Pizza, several Arby's and other chain establishments throughout Illinois. Jerry stressed getting to know the demographic of an area before building and that property costs flucuate based on the development in the area. When asked about the differences in owning a chain restaurant and an independent restaurant, he said that chains have a 98% chance of staying open for the first two years, where as the independents have only a 25% chance of staying open for the first two years.
