Welcome back to a new year of Green Needham programs and projects.  It's been a very busy summer.  As you settle into the fall routine, take a moment to catch up on the success and progress of two of Green Needham's biggest projects - Solarize Needham and Solar PV at the RTS. 

Solarize Needham exceeds expectations and is being extended to October 31st!


The Solarize Needham campaign has exceeded even our expectations. So far, 111 Needham households have chosen to Solarize their homes. Those homes will generate over 900,000 kWh of electricity yearly. Because of our success - and the continuing interest the program has received - our Solarize partner Astrum Solar has agreed to allow us to do one more round of outreach...Read more

Update on the Solar PV project at the Needham RTS   


While the visible work at the RTS will begin later this fall, Solarize Needham will continue to be visible until then so that residents can take advantage of a special two-month extension to our Needham program. Read more ...

Former Green Needham intern tackling sustainable development in Africa


Green Needham is always heartened to hear of young people devoting their energies to environmental justice, especially when they are from Needham!
