Dear  ,

Welcome back from your summer.  Read on to find out about an important two minute survey that you can take that will help bring Solarize Massachusetts to Needham, and about our October "Climate Reality" program.

Two minutes will help bring Solarize Massachusetts to Needham!

Solarize Massachusetts helps communities increase the adoption of small-scale solar electricity systems through a grassroots educational campaign, and a tiered pricing structure that increases the savings for everyone as more home and business owners in a community sign up.

Over 900 residents and small businesses in 20 communities have taken advantage of this program.  Options include outright purchase of the solar electricty system, as well as leasing or power purchase agreements that involve low or no upfront costs.

Needham is well positioned to be chosen for this fall's round of the Solarize program. An important element in the selection process is demonstrated community interest in solar PV.  You can help make this program available in Needham by filling out this four question, four-question, two minute survey, indicating an interest in considering solar PV for your home.

Please forward this to friends and neighbors who may be interested in solar PV!

Climate Reality Project Presentation

Join us for a thought-provoking presentation on the impacts and causes of climate changes, the actions we need to take, and what it all means for Massachusetts and the Northeast. The event will take place at Broadmeadow School on Wednesday, October 9, from 7:00-8:30 p.m.

The program is provided by the Climate Reality Project, whose presenters are trained as Climate Leaders by former Vice President and Nobel Laureate Al Gore.  A question and answer period will follow the presentation.

Green Needham, in partnership with the Needham League of Women Voters, is offering the program through Needham Community Education. There is a registration fee of $10, which may be paid at the door. Alternatively, you many register and pay the fee through Needham Community Education by phone at 781-455-0400 x 235    (8 am - 4 pm).

Sincerely,
