Buy Local! You hear these words often during the Holiday Season but what do they mean?
One of the easiest ways to buy local is to purchase Chamber Checks. Chamber Checks are designed to keep money in our local economy. Anyone can drop by the Chamber and purchase Chamber checks that can be redeemed at more than 90 local restaurants, service providers and retail stores.
Chamber Checks make shopping simple. If you have to purchase a few gifts or hundreds, consider Chamber Checks as your solution because "one size really does fit all".
Though Black Friday signals the beginning of the shopping season, don't forget our community is supporting Small Business Saturday as well.
Small Business Saturday was created in 2010 in response to small business owners' most pressing need: more customers. Falling between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it's a day to support the local businesses that create jobs, boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods around the country. It has since become a nation-wide, well-known celebrated event on the national calendar with support from, elected officials, public and private organizations and
millions of Facebook users. The fifth annual Small Business Saturday gave a boost to Main Street merchants and spurred millions of consumers to spend billions at independently-owned small businesses. This year Small Business Saturday will be held on November 28th and we are working to make it bigger than ever for small businesses.
When we support small business, jobs are created and our local culture thrives!
So join me this year by supporting our local retailers and service providers. Shopping small helps everyone
