Accepting Applications for Emerging Leaders Institute

We are taking applications and nominations for the Emerging Leaders Institute class of 2016. Applications are being accepted until November 23, 2015 and nominations are accepted until November 9, 2015.

The program is designed to assist participants in becoming more knowledgeable about themselves and leadership practices, and develop skills to assist them in becoming stronger leaders.  The program will be six sessions and conducted over several months.  Each session will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude by 5 p.m.

Who can participate?  The Emerging Leaders Institute is designed for adults interested in leadership development and the curriculum has been created to increase individual leadership effectiveness.  During the six sessions, the participant will spend time understanding their personal leadership style, connecting with community leaders, improving their communication skills and, essentially grooming themselves to blaze their leadership trail.  The Steering Committee solicits and reviews nominations for the program and will extend an invitation to approximately 25 to 30 individuals.

Why you should Putt your time into networking.

You may be asking yourself, why another networking event?  We have too many meetings and obligations.  We stay late for work, not enough time for family.  Who has time for another meet and greet?
But all too often we forget that our professional lives can and should be fun.  We all know we need to network, so the Chamber is bringing you a way to do just that, and have a good time while you do!  Golf is popular, you gather a team of 4 and spend a couple of hours playing, chatting and getting to know each other and building a foundation for future business.  It's a proven fact that business is done on the golf course, but what about us non-golfers?

We have an answer!  The Chamber 'not so' Classic Mini Golf Tournament.  It's the same principal as a golf tournament but a little more relaxed.    Come polish up your putting skills and make some new contacts on October 29th at 3pm at Dalton Falls Fun Center.
You'll be paired with three other players that you don't know, one may possibly be a local college student, and off you go.  Many holes will have sponsors who can set up their display to host a game, give a goodie or talk about their business.  Sounds fun right?
Need to know:
  • October 29th
  • Dalton Falls Fun Center
  • 3 p.m.-  5 p.m.
  • Silent Auction opens at 2 p.m.
  • $25.00 per player
  • Sponsor a hole for $100.00
So come out and enjoy the beautiful fall weather, network and grow your business!  For more information call me at 706-712-0949.
