Small Business Summit to be Held in Athens

The Small Business Summit will be held May 31st at the Classic Center in Athens, Georgia and will provide over 200 small businesses the opportunity to learn, connect and be inspired through a range of breakout sessions, exhibits, panel of industry leaders, networking events and more. 'Angel Investor' Tax Credit Extension Moves Forward

House Bill 81 was introduced and authored by State Rep. Mike Dudgeon (R-Johns Creek) last week that would extend state tax credits on 'angel investments' for two additional years - into 2014 and 2015. HB 81 would allow individuals who make qualified investments into Georgia businesses to claim up to $10 million annually ($50,000 cap per investor) of the amount on future tax returns for a 35% credit.
