UPAF's 2014 Campaign goal is...

UPAF's 2014 goal has been announced - an ambitious goal of $11.7 million! With three dynamic Campaign Co-Chairs, a committed board of directors and dedicated staff, UPAF is determined to increase funds raised by 17% since 2012. The 2014 goal was announced amongst several wonderful performances from UPAF Member Groups Tuesday night during the 2014 Campaign Kickoff.

Southeastern Wisconsin rallied behind the performing arts community during UPAF's 2013 Campaign, allowing UPAF to raise a record $11 million. This year, UPAF is providing a variety of new incentives, exerting additional efforts in Waukesha County, and planning to grow the number of Workplace Giving Campaigns throughout our region.

Please join us as we embark on what will be another record-breaking UPAF Campaign!

Affiliate Spotlight: Milwaukee's Festival City Symphony
Timeless Romance

Festival City Symphony is Milwaukee's oldest symphony orchestra, created over 75 years ago as the Milwaukee Civic Symphony Orchestra by the Civic Music Association. Its mission is to extend the reach of classical music in the community with reasonable pricing, interesting themes and informative formats that embrace people of all ages. Its goal is to encourage the enjoyment and understanding of classical music and build public appreciation for fine arts programming.

Timeless Romance features three masterworks by the same composer, Felix Mendelssohn, beginning with his youthful "Overture to A Midsummer Night's Dream." Milwaukee violin soloist and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra concertmaster, Frank Almond, again joins FCS for "Violin Concerto in E minor," Mendelssohn's last orchestral work. The concert will close with the timelessly romantic "Symphony No. 3 (Scottish)," reminiscent of the novels of Sir Walter Scott.
